Chapter One ~ Part Three

So the last part of chapter one of Always Ask a Man Arlene Dahl's Key to Femininity is mostly quotes from the actors of the day about what they were looking for in a women.

Richard Burton
he adores women ~ all shapes and sizes, short, tall, fat, thin, blonde, brunette. "However", he said, "they must be completely feminine and faintly giggly"

Prince Aly Kahn with Rita Hayworth
"a women should have latent strength under a gentle manner, tenderness, understanding, dignity and generosity"

Burt Lancaster
"I admire honesty and straightforwardness combined with true femininity"

Laurence Harvey
"I like a women who has both maturity and ingenuity. This comes under the heading of true femininity."

Danny Kaye
"Some women are more interested in what they look like then in what they are. If they were more interested in what they were, they would look better."
David Nevin
" Humor is important. The most beautiful woman is a bore without it"
Marlon Brando
" I value each woman for what she has to offer whether it be charm-beauty-wit-intelligence or humor....but warmth is the quality I value most."

There were more quotes but this pretty much covers the tone. She goes on to advise.

Femininity is every woman's birthright, but like talent, it must be used to develop it's full power. It must be perfected and exercised to rate curtain calls.

If you have been neglecting your natural feminine instincts, Stop, Look (at yourself) and Listen (to men) - and give them a chance to revive. Recognize that being a woman is a blessing, not a burden, glory in it. Admit that you think men are wonderful and want one of your own. If you already have one, recognize how lucky you are and make yourself as attractive and exciting for him as you possibly can.

Don't hide your feminine light in the shadows of neglect, resentments and fears. Bring your light out into the open and you will be surprised how brightly it will shine ~ and how it will reflect an answering light in the eyes of men.

Well, that kiddos was the last installment of Chapter one of Always Ask a Man Arlene Dahl's Keys to Femininity . Pretty awesome no?
