Vintage Love of the Week: Antique Sugar edition

So, it is rapidly turning seasons here in the Valley and as much as we all love spring the foreboding feeling that our hellish summer is just around the corner is creeping in. I am already making elaborate escape plans months in advance. These, of course, require a vacation wardrobe.  I see brightly colored aloha dresses and vintage swimsuits in my future. I am in love with this swimsuit currently available at Antique Sugar.
It is so perfect except for it is about a jillion times too small for me.
Seriously!?! How cute is the print? Classic 60's pin up style. The maker's tag is long gone but it is in such marvelous shape who cares?  But in a 22" waist?  Not in my lifetime! I have been losing weight but I have not been a 22" waist since 6th grade. This is going to make some tiny little gal super happy though.  I am jealous whoever that lucky duck is in advance.
It is available at the store or you can order this sweet little number in the Etsy shop. At only $65 it is a steal!

Where oh where has LollyPOP Vintage been?

me in a vintage Stetson from Retro Ranch
Hello all!

Long time no see. Boy, I have missed you! It has almost been a year since we closed our brick and mortar store and I still have mixed feelings about the whole thing. I should have already had a massive online presence and launched my vintage men's accessories site, Peacock and Preen. Instead I have been gradually recovering from over three years of running a store front practically single handed. That means no vacations, no life, no me time for three years. Suffice it to say I am almost feeling like a person again. Getting my vintage selling mojo back has taken a little more time then I expected but here I am about ready to get back in the saddle again.

Part of my recovery has been helped along by being lucky enough to help out some of my good friends in their store fronts at Antique Sugar and Retro Ranch. I got to say it has been fun playing store again and reconnecting with friends from the LollyPOP Vintage store front days. I love these stores! I am so happy to be part of the valley vintage community in a more active way and we won't mention how much my personal vintage collection has expanded in the last couple months. Let's just say I am now calling my bedroom my "Sleep-in closet". So much good stuff...soooo dangerous working in these stores!

Anyways, just wanted to take a minute to start the vintage love dialogue again here on the LPV site and explain a little about my long hiatus. So be expecting more updates and articles here and definitely be expecting a lot of new items in my LollyPOP Vintage Etsy store very soon. Hopefully all this new found energy will also translate into the final launch of Peacock and Preen as well but for right now my focus will lie with my first love LollyPOP Vintage.

Much love!
Heather
